Scholarship Program

Accessible Fees for Everyone

As part of our desire to keep the programme financially accessible for CZTs, we introduced a partial scholarship Programme in 2020. We have chosen to continue this initiative for future CZT : AE Editions, even though a majority of participants had given us their written feedback every year, to say that they had found our fees affordable and value-for-money for what was provided.

For AE 2025, all interested applicants should submit their application form, and email submissions, before 15 March 2025.

We have retained a total of 5 partial scholarship slots. In the event, that we have more than 5 applicants for scholarship, our instructors will cast their votes.

[ The partial scholarship will cover about 40-45% of the total fees. ]

The Cindy Elener Scholarship

Beginning from the 2025 Edition, a brand new full scholarship has been created and there is one slot available for application. This scholarship is personally funded by the main organisor, Debbie New, in honour of her friend Cindy Elener CZT, who passed away in 2024 from cancer.

[ For transparency: This scholarship will be personally funded by the main organisor and cover approximately 90-95% of the fees, with the remaining going towards our selected cause. Where awarded, there will be additional conditions for the Cindy Elener scholarship recipient to fulfil over the course of the year, in addition to supplying financial information at the point of application (like the other partial scholarship applicants). ]

The Shirley Hewitt Grant

Beginning from the 2025 Edition, a brand new grant has been created. This grant is personally funded by the main organisor, Debbie New, in honour of her friend Shirley Hewitt CZT, who passed away in 2024.

The Shirley Hewitt Grant will be awarded as a one-time cash gift to one of the partial scholarship recipients, out of the 5 that were earlier chosen by the instructors.

[ For transparency: This cash grant will be personally funded by the main organisor. The purpose of this award is to benefit directly the recipient's personal and/or professional artistic development. Where awarded, there will be certain conditions for the grant recipient to fulfil over the course of the year, in addition to supplying financial information at the point of application (like the other partial scholarship applicants). ]

TO APPLY for all scholarships, please write in detail when you fill up and submit the Registration Form, to tell us WHY you need this scholarship. The Registration Form should be submitted BY 15 March 2025 if you are applying for a scholarship for the 2025 Edition.

Additional photos and other documents that will explain your financial difficulties must be included to support your application. Submit these additional items directly to artifex.eruditio@gmail.com BEFORE 15 March 2025.

As we have to ensure that the scholarships are given to people who truly deserve them, we reserve the right to decline your application if it is not supported with any documents. All names and data submitted during scholarship applications will be kept private.

> Why did CZT : AE not offer full scholarships previously?

We always desire to keep the fees as affordable and accessible as possible for all our colleagues in the community. We understand that finances may be a barrier to continuous learning, and this is what the partial scholarship program hopes to alleviate.

We believe that if we say we are giving back as a community to the causes we support, then we must truly, ALL be giving back together as a community. As we are supplying class ideas that have the potential to bring income to all our participants, as well, it is only right that there exists a subsidised fee, ie. there cannot be a full waiver of fees.

For this reason, even the Cindy Elener Scholarship recipient will be expected to contribute a token amount comprising 5-10% of the total fees. [ see above or write to artifex.eruditio@gmail.com for more clarification on this matter. ]
